Elections are held every two years.  The next election is on Saturday 21 October 2017.

If you own property in multiple Councils (including the Shire of Pingelly) please make sure you are registered with the Shire so you are able to vote in elections. 

Please note you are NOT automatically added to the Electoral Roll when you purchase property, you must contact the Shire to be added.

To be eligible to vote at local government elections you must also be registered on the State Electoral Roll for the Legislative Assembly or the House of Representatives Roll - Australian Government Electoral Roll as per sections 4.29 and 4.30 of the Act.

Shire of Pingelly Election Information
The next Local Government election will be held on Saturday 21 October 2017.  Five Councillors will be retiring at this election. In order to be eligible to vote at the upcoming Council elections you must be registered on the electoral roll prior to 5.00pm Friday 1 September 2017.

If you plan to run for Council you must be on either the State electoral roll for the Shire or on the Owners Occupiers roll by this date. 

Nominations for Council open Thursday 7 September 2017.  Nominations for Council close 4.00 pm  sharp Thursday 14 September 2017.
