Bush Fire Control

The following Restricted and Prohibited Burning times are put into place as precautions within the Shire of Pingelly boundaries:

Restrited Burning: 1 October to 1 November (inclusive)

                              2 March to 19 April (inclusive)

Conditions:

1. Permits may be issued for a duration of up to one week

2. Hours of burning are not specified by the Act, but may be imposed as a condition of the permit

3. At least three people must be in attendance for the duration of the burn

Prohibited Burning: 1 November to 1 March (inclusive)

Conditions:

1. Permits may be issued on a daily basis

2. Permits are only issued for thepurpose of protective burning (around houses, shed etc)

3. Permits are valid between the hours of 4pm and midnight. Hours of burning may be shortened as a condition of the permits,  e.g. usual practice for town burning between 6pm and 11pm pnly.

4. Permits will only be issued up to 11pm on 14 December during this period.

5. At least three people must be in attendance for teh duration of the burn.
