National Volunteer Week in Pingelly: Community Champion Sundowner

Past Event

The Shire of Pingelly has been successful in securing support from Volunteering WA and Lotterywest to treat our local volunteers (also known as our community champions!) to a complimentary buffet sundowner!
National Volunteer Week (NVW) in 2021 will take place between 17-24 May and is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers. This year NVW ‘s three themes encompass:
  • Recognising, celebrating and thanking volunteers for the vital role they play in our lives;
  • Reconnecting to what is important by giving our time to help others and ourselves, following a challenging and uncertain year; and
  • Reimagining how we better support volunteers and the communities they serve.
The Community Champion Sundowner is a closed-invite event for volunteers aligned with a community group, sporting club or not for profit organisation based within the Shire of Pingelly.
RSVPs are essential! For enquiries contact Sam Kempton, Community Development Officer on 9887 1066 or sam.kempton@pingelly.wa.gov.au
