Old Courthouse Lease Opportunity: Expression of Interest Extension

Published on Monday, 23 August 2021 at 4:00:00 PM

Last week at the Ordinary Council Meeting, Council considered the Expressions of Interest received for the future use of the Old Courthouse. Council have requested for the advertising period to be extended with the current applications to be considered at the September Council Meeting following an additional period of advertising. The two competitive Expressions of Interest already received will carry forward.

The Shire of Pingelly is seeking Expressions of Interest from the arts, culture, tourism or hospitality industries for the unique tenancy opportunity to deliver an outcome that is complimentary to the Memorial Park redevelopment and aligns with the community’s vision to see increased visitation and experiences within the Town Centre.

Pingelly’s close proximity to the Perth Metropolitan Area provides easy access for city dwellers to discover unique tourist, business and residential opportunities in the town. With the adjacent redeveloped Memorial Park now open, along with Stage 1 of the Town Hall Project opposite now underway—comprising the Visitor Information and Driver Reviver point, the Old Courthouse is an exciting opportunity to be in the heart of Pingelly’s Town Centre.

To attract and secure a competitive tenant, the Shire is offering the tenancy for an initial 3 year period, at the cost of outgoings only. Outgoings (Shire rates, water rates, Emergency Services Levy, building insurance) are anticipated to be approximately $66.25 per week.
