BUSH FIRE BRIGADES LOCAL LAW 2023
The Shire of Pingelly has resolved to adopt the Shire of Pingelly Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2023.
The purpose of this local law is to revoke outdated bush fire by-laws as previously adopted by the Shire of Pingelly and provide a statutory means of effectively governing the operations of Bush Fire Brigades within the Shire of Pingelly.
The effect of this local law is to revoke the outdated by-laws and to allow Bush Fire Brigades to be sufficiently governed so as to provide an acceptable standard for the operation of Bush Fire Brigades within the community.
A copy of the local law may be inspected at, or obtained from, the Shire Administration Office at 17 Queen Street, Pingelly between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, or by contacting the Administration Office on 08 9887 1066.
It is also available to view on the Shire’s website www.pingelly.wa.gov.au
This local law was gazetted on 22 August 2023 and will come into operation on 5 September 2023.
