The Pingelly Tourist Group would like to thank all the sponsors for the inaugural Pingelly Ute Muster which took place over the long weekend. We had significant contribution from a huge number of local sponsors. There are too many to list, but each of you will be receiving a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of your input. The Muster wouldn’t have been the success it was, without your generous support.
The Muster had over thirty ute entrants from all over Western Australia, including Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Yealering … just to name a few. For a first time effort this was very encouraging and we look forward to greater numbers next year. We had entertainment in the form of whip cracking, a bouncy castle, live music and free camping.
Hot food was available all day, catered for by the Toursim Group and the bar opened at 2:00pm. Adrian Stervaggi, The Accoustic Drifter, started performing mid afternoon and kept the tunes rolling along until midnight. The Muster certainly attracted some good dance moves!
Winners on the Day:
Best BNS Daniel Hesford
Best Chicks Shell Waldron
Best Blokes 4x4 Anson Troth
Best Chick 4x4 Bianca Webb
Best Feral Shannon Farquhat
Best Town Ute Cameron Hayes
Thumbs up again to Merve Beard, Bianca Webb and all members of the Tourism Group. There was a lot of work done to get the Pony Club grounds spick n span for the weekend and it was a credit to all concerned. The rain and cold did dampen the enthusiasm for a short time on Saturday afternoon, but the sun soon came back out and everyone started moving around again.
We look forward to next year with renewed enthusiasm!
