How do I get started?

Each event is unique, so the application process will be different. The type of approval required will depend on the nature of the event and level of risk. It is recommended the Event Coordinator consults with the Community Development Officer early in the planning stages to determine the approval required. 

Your event is likely to fit into one of the below categories. This information is provided as a general guide only. For specific advice relating to your event, please contact us.

Parks and Reserves Form

  • Private and/or closed invitation event
  • Booking of a public open space, reserve or Shire facility is required

Special Event Application

  • The event:
    • will attract an attendance of 50 people or more, and
    • the event is open to the whole community, or
    • the event is being held on Shire of Pingelly land or inside a Shire owned venue
  • Food will be available to purchase
  • The event has animals, camping, temporary structures, amplified music or generators.
  • The event will require traffic management or a risk management plan.
  • Alcohol will be available at the event (for sale or BYO)
