Harvest and Movement of Vehicle Bans

During the summer months, the Shire of Pingelly along with the Pingelly Bush Fire Control Officers have the authority to impose a Harvest Ban and/or a Ban on the Movement of Vehicles in Paddocks. The bans apply to the whole of the shire.

People are able to check whether a Ban is in place by phoning the Shire of Pingelly Harvest Ban Hotline on 08 9887 1265. This line is updated as necessary. Also people can opt to have their mobile phone number on our SMS hotline, this allows for a text message to be sent to their phone instructing them on any bans that have been put into place.

Should you require any further information on these procedures or on the SMS hotline please do not hesitate to contact the Shire Office on 08 9887 1066.

There is a movement of vehicle and harvest ban in place in the Shire of Pingelly on every Christmas Day 25th December, Boxing Day 26th December and New Years Day 1st January.
