Council has resolved to adopt the Shire of Pingelly Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2022.
The purpose of this local law is to revoke outdated bush fire by-laws as previously adopted by the Shire of Pingelly and provide a statutory means of effectively governing the operations of Bush Fire Brigades within the Shire of Pingelly.
The effect of this local law is to revoke the outdated by-laws and to allow Bush Fire Brigades to be sufficiently governed so as to provide an acceptable standard for the operation of Bush Fire Brigades within the community.
A copy of the local law may be viewed here, or obtained from the Shire Administration Office at 17 Queen Street, Pingelly between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, or the Community Resource Centre, 18 Parade Street, Pingelly between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Thursday, or by contacting the Administration Office on 08 9887 1066.
This local law was gazetted on 10 October 2022 and will come into operation on 24 October 2022.
