The Shire has been successful in obtaining the International Day of People with Disability Grant funded by Department of Communities to run a Wheelchair Basketball Have a Go Day!
IDPWD is about increasing our awareness of people with disability and celebrating their achievements and contributions to the community. We are excited to be welcoming Clint Morgan from Rebound WA to Pingelly to facilitate the Wheel Life program. The session will incorporate a brief presentation about his journey overcoming adversity as a wheelchair basketball athlete, before local Pingelly people can step into a wheelchair themselves to learn the basic skills of the game.
Session 1 | 1.30pm -3pm
For members of the community who are over 18 and represent a local business, community group, sporting club or not for profit organisation.
Session 2 | 3.30pm - 5pm
For children and young people from 8 - 17 years of age. Pingelly Youth Group Inc - Moorditj Koolingars will have food and drinks available for purchase.
RSVP your attendance with Sam Kempton, Community Development Officer via 9887 1066 | cdo@pingelly.wa.gov.au
