Appointment of new Chief Executive Officer

After facilitating the June Ordinary Council Meeting held on 16 June 2021 the Shire of Pingelly is pleased to announce that Andrew Dover has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Mr Dover is a highly experienced Senior Officer in Development Services and Town Planning with experience in a number of diverse communities throughout Western Australia. Previous Mr Dover has been Director Development Services at the Shire of Collie and Manager Development Services at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Shire President Bill Mulroney stated “that Mr Dover was an excellent candidate for the role as Chief Executive Officer and brings to the Shire of Pingelly experience and skillset to follow through on current projects and further develop the advances of previous years. Council also looks forward to welcoming his wife and young family into the community”.

Mr Dover will commence with the Shire of Pingelly on 3 August 2021. In the interim, Paul Sheedy has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer and comes to the role as a highly experienced Chief Executive Officer in the local government industry.

Council also extends its deep appreciation to outgoing CEO Julie Burton for an impactful two years of service and wish her all the best in for her new role as CEO at the Shire of Boddington.
