The Shire of Pingelly is celebrating this week following the confirmation of Federal Government Funding for the re-development of Memorial Park. $1 million in funding will contribute to the upgrade of the undeveloped sections of Memorial Park to increase options for tourism, provide more support for businesses and also provide fantastic spaces for the whole community.

The project will include additional playspaces for all ages, shade, multi-use community areas, and opportunities to welcome the diverse needs of our residents and visitors. The memorial and formal ceremonial space will be maintained, toilet facilities constructed, and an electric vehicle charging station installed.

With the assistance of the Memorial Park Reference Group, the detailed design process has commenced. The project will be finalised by 30 June 2021, with construction due to commence in early March 2021.

This project is funded by the Shire of Pingelly and the Australian Government's Drought Communities Programme and is expected to assist with the retention of businesses, services and facilities in Pingelly and is a welcome injection of Federal funding into the Town.
